ECE Touch Screen Failure

There is a fairly common problem with this generation of Smart Navigation systems made by Bosch as shown here, where the Touch Screen becomes unresponsive.






You may have found that certain areas of the screen do not respond to you touching them, whilst other ares work just fine, or you may find that you are having to press the screen much harder than you should in order to make any selections, or in some extreme cases, the entire touch panel may have died completely. The LCD Screen display should still be showing full and concise information, and with the exception of the screen, the unit should still remain operational.

This fixed price repair service is to repair or replace the touch panel fault as described only, if any other faults are found, or the unit has been tampered with, then we reserve the right to provide an estimate for any additional work that may be required.

Whilst we will try our utmost to preserve any data on your system, in some instances we may need to reprogram the memory in order for us to return the unit back to its factory default setting. We are unable to provide or upgrade any mapping data and you may need to reload your original mapping software data.

When sending your unit to us, do not forget to enclose your code number. If a code number is not provided, then an additional decoding charge will apply to cover the cost of code retrieval - full details of our decoding costs can be found below.

Please note that this fixed price repair service does not apply to any cracked or physically damaged screens, or if the screen is displaying a distorted image. In this instance, please send the unit to us for an estimate of repair of the damage sustained.

Our staff have been Manufacturer Trained and Certified in Service and Repair techniques. Our repairs will include a 3 Month Warranty which is limited to the original faults as described and any remedial repair work that was undertaken.
