There is a common fault with this model of Pioneer AVIC-F9880DAB-SUZ as shown here, where the stereo defaults to the Rear Camera display.








There appears to be a common and very unexpected problem where the system will default to showing the rear view camera screen with no other actions possible. When first switched on it may take a few minutes to power up and when it does you are left with a Black Screen with the words "CAUTION THE IMAGE MAY APPEAR REVERSED" and in certain circumstances, the coloured red and yellow Grid lines may also be visible.

This is not actually a fault as such, and the cause of this is usually from inadvertently applying the wrong Camera settings which are usually as a result of playing around with the numerous menus that are on offer. The problem you are probably experiencing is now being stuck on this black screen with no further options to access the menu in order to restore the original settings so that the radio can be used once again. Disconnecting the power will seldom help and no matter what you do, this is the screen you are left with.

This fixed price repair is to reset the stereo back to its default display settings only, and if any other faults are found, or the unit has been tampered with, then we reserve the right to provide an estimate for any additional work that may be required.
