Contrary to popular belief, the Ford range of stereo`s do not have an unlimited number of code entry attempts and will generally stop allowing any further codes to be entered after ten incorrect attempts. If you have been messing about then you may have forced it to display LOCK 11.



If your radio now displays LOCK 11, we may still be able to decode and reset this radio, but you will need to send the unit to our workshop for this work to be carried out. Approx turnaround time is 48 Hours from receipt to dispatch. We are one of the few companies that can recover a unit from LOCK 11, and our success rate is fairly high. We will decode and reset the unit and can then return it back to you along with a working code number.

It is clear that the numbers you are currently using are incorrect, and as you have now reached LOCK 11, you are obviously aware of the programming override used by Ford to allow yet another attempt, but we would strongly advise against this unless you have first obtained a code number from us, as if you enter yet another incorrect code number using this method, it may lock the radio permanently.

It is adviseable to send it to us instead of trying this yourself, as if the display shows the next stage of LOCK 12 or LOCKED 12, then salvaging your radio is usually beyond the scope of the Ford Main Dealers and most of the professional Decoders, and they will tell you that the unit is now scrap as they do not have the programming capability to recover it.
