One of the most common faults on the Alfa Romeo ICS System is for the LCD display backlight to fail, making the screen either very dim, or completely dark and virtually impossible to view anything on it.

As a quick diagnostic check, the rest of the stereo will function as normal, and in some cases, you may just about see some feint characters on the screen if viewed at an angle to any external light. If it appears as though a bulb has failed, it hasn`t, its usually far more serious than that,



9 times out of ten, this will be diagnosed down to the drive transformer on the bottom board and if you have tried to find one then you will realize that they are made from "Unobtanium" as the Alfa Romeo Service Center's no longer offer any spares or technical support for this radio.

But do not worry, because we can now help you. We, at DND Services Ltd have now exclusively commissioned some spare parts to be specially manufactured, so that we can continue to repair and service this unit for many more years to come.
