Clarion Radio / Cassette as fitted to the Peugeot 406.

This stereo is often referred to as a "Married" or "VIN CODED" radio, as it does not employ standard Code technology. This unit is security coded to the Immobilisation Control Unit of the vehicle it came out of, and as such cannot be easily transferred from vehicle to vehicle, even if it is the same model of Car. If fitted to a different car it may simply beep or not power up at all, if fitted to the correct car then it will power up straight away and function as normally.

Reprogramming of this unit is very complex, and because the stereo has to be programmed to the VIN Number of your car, when sending in your stereo, please include a clear copy of your Vehicle Registration Document clearly showing your VIN NUMBER, so that we have all of the relevant information to hand.

Removal of the radio is very straightforward with the use of the special removal tools. Simply push the tools in through the holes until a click is felt and then withdraw the radio. The leads can then be unplugged.
