Radio Code & Decoding Service

Please take great care to enter the code correctly on this unit, as it is very easily locked. When the code is entered, the display will say "CODE" and upon depressing the fifth digit, the unit will either switch on or continue with a display of "CODE". It will not respond until the last digit has been pressed, and if it beeps and remains with CODE, then the number you have entered is incorrect and although it may allow you to re-enter the same number, it will not always be accepted until at least three hours have elapsed with the unit being powered up with no buttons being pressed during this time. If it does not reset after this time, then all of your code entry attempts may have been used up, and the unit will need to be sent to us to be decoded and reset.

If you have lost your radio code, we can decode and reset this radio, but you will need to send the unit to our workshop for this work to be carried out. Approx turnaround time is 48 hours from receipt to dispatch.

Removal of the radio is fairly straightforward. To remove the Radio, you will need to open the two small flaps either side of the fascia, and this will reveal two allen keyed screws that are holding the unit in. Using a 2.5mm Allen Key or a Torx T10, unscrew the bolts counter clockwise until a small resistance is felt. The bolts will not come out, but are moving a sliding bar at the side of the radio. Once a slight resistance has been felt, the radio can be withdrawn. The leads are often very fiddly to remove and require the plastic housing at the rear plug to be slid in an upwards direction to unlock the clip holding the plug in. This is often very tight.
